Africa Alive!

Studies show that malaria and diarrheal diseases are among the top ten most common causes of pre-mature and preventable deaths in Ghana and elsewhere in Africa. It's sad to consider that in this day and age, the average life expectancy is around 57 years for males and females combined. Sadder still to reflect upon the unacceptably high rate of mortality for children under 5 years of age—kids & babies dying needlessly from preventable illnesses. Contemplating these woeful & worrisome facts made me sharpen my focus on how important it is to give to those who are living in poverty without the means or access to medical treatment for basic illnesses.
What The Longevity Project and the Accra International Marathon have set out to do is to bring awareness, education and assistance to Ghanaians and other Africans so as to improve the life expectancy and quality of life for those at risk.
I decided to make a contribution to this cause and to help raise funds in the hope that my efforts, combined with those of others who care, can really make a world of difference. Any amount you can afford and are willing to contribute towards The Longevity Project's long term goals would be helpful and very much appreciated. Please help us to help others. Together, we WILL make a huge difference!
Thank you very much and the best of health to you and yours!
