Hey everyone,

Gabe here. I’ll make this short. I just got a loud wake-up call about my health. Turns out I have a BFP of 33%, which officially classifies me as obese. I realize I have a long road ahead me in my resolution to lose 40 to 60 pounds; but as most of us know, all life’s great accomplishments begin with a simple step which leads to another and another. I’ve decided to take incremental “steps” to lose weight and improve my quality of life.

While I’m at it, I figured I can also walk to keep my brothers and sisters in Africa alive. Because, while I got the wake-up call in time, most Africans never get to know what hit them. The Longevity Project aims to increase public awareness about health risks and the importance of nutrition and exercise in preventing disease and early death. They provide information by outreach and free health screenings at various organized running, walking & similar sporting events designed to support people to take responsibility for their own health.

Please join me. Or support me with your pledge. Thanks!

Gabe
